E/LA, Science, Library Media All (but targeted to Grades 2-8) Camp Wonderopolis Campers will explore different tracks of science and build their vocabulary, background knowledge, and literacy skills along the way.

E/LA, Library Media Any Black-eyed Susan Book Award  There are several different lists: Picture Books, Grades 4-6, Graphic Novels 4-6, Grades 6-9, and High School.  There are 10 novels on each list (15 picture books); students must read, or have read to them, at least 3 (8 for picture book category) from the same list in order to be eligible to vote in that category next April.

All Any Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum Jefferson Patterson Park, located in Calvert County, has plenty of activities throughout the summer for families.  It's also a great place to go for a picnic, a hike, or a bike ride.
All Any Smithsonian Free way to get out of the heat and check out the Smithsonian and all it has to offer.
