Flower Name: Yellow Wood Sorrel; Sour Grass

Description: This is a low speading plant that has clover like sour-tasting leaves and one to several yellow flowers. The flowers are about 1/2" wide, There are five petals, 10 stamens; pistil is erect, pencil-like. The leaves are divided into 3 heartshaped leaflets, each 1/2 to 3/4" wide; leaves close at dusk and open in the morning. The fruit is a capsule on a straight stalk.
