  • Adult Education Program
    • Provides adult education to prepare parents for the GED or the External Diploma Program. Classess are offered at the Lifelong Learning Center, 12300 Vivian Adams Drive, Waldorf. These classes are available Monday through Thursday and are offered daytime or evening.

  • Career and Technology Education
    • Advises on events coordination and format. High School Cosmotology students provide haircuts and manicures for Judy Center children, modeling good hygiene.

Head Start-Southern Maryland Tri-County Community Action Committee

  • Serves the child development needs of preschool children and their low-income families. Accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education.

  • Operates the before and after school child care program (BASCC) for Charles County Public Schools including sites at Dr. Mudd, Eva Turner and Dr. Higdon. This program is for Kindergarteners through 5th grade.
    The BASCC program is open 6:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. and operates year-round.

KinderCare Learning Centers, Inc.

  • Provides full time child care for 3 and 4 year olds and before and after school programs for Pre-K and Head Start children in the two school zones. The Center is located at Doolittle Drive at Post Office Road and is accredited by the Maryland State Department of Education and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The Center is open from 6 am - 6:30 pm and operates year-round.

  • Provides training workshops for early childhood professionals, child care providers, and parents.

Charles County Public Library

  • Provides books, information, and other library materials that match the needs of children and their families. Provides entertaining and educational children's programming designed to acquaint them with our public libraries and to encourage a love of reading that will last a lifetime.
  • Provides outreach services visiting Head Start children at the Judy Centers once a month to provide rich literary experiences.
