Maryland
Ag in the Classroom is a mobile Science lab that provides schools
with fun and educational experiments about agriculture. Students
solve problems about Agriculture using hands-on activities. In
these pictures, students are participating in the experiment about
fiber.
The Maryland
Ag Products Lab, sponsored by the Waldorf JC's, provided students
an introduction to a variety of Maryland Agricultural Products,
and how agricultural science helps farmers produce and market
their bounty. The traveling lab trailer and MAEF instructor Mrs.
Roderick provided a variety of science related activities to students
during the week of November 26th. From first graders making "Surprise
Bookmarks" and Maryland Ag Product Maps to fifth graders
who experimented with yeast to see what would give it the biggest
reaction and figure out what it is used for, Matula students had
an educational week in the lab. We would like to thank the Maryland
Agricultural Education Foundation, and the Waldorf JC's for making
this program possible.
