Kimberly Hill
Principal
Kim
Hill has been named as a Principal at North Point High School
for Science, Technology and Industry and will be responsible
for all affairs.
Mrs. Hill, a graduate
of McDonough High School, has worked with the Charles County
Public School System since 1986, serving as a Social Studies
Teacher and Vice Principal at McDonough High School and later
a Vice Principal at the Career and Technology Center. For
the past 2 years, she has served as a Vice Principal at North
Point High School.
“I look forward to working with students
and parents from all over the county as we establish our North
Point community. The expectations for students are high; and
the North Point staff will be there to support students as
they pursue a purposeful and focused education".

Mike Heim
Vice Principal, 10th Grade
Mike
Heim had served as an administrative assistant at Westlake
High School for two years before coming to North Point. Previously,
Mike had taught various social studies courses at Westlake
and Radio Station Road Academy. During his time at Westlake,
Mike had coached football and basketball.
“I continue to look forward to the opportunity
provided to assist in the building of a positive learning
environment where students are exposed to many resources and
activities to help them make decisions about their career
paths. The anticipation and excitement builds as we enter
a new phase of our short history as we move away from being
a middle/high school and progress forward to becoming a fully
functioning high school with all that it has to offer.”

Ellen Linton
Vice Principal, 11th grade
Ellen received her undergraduate degree
from Salisbury University, Maryland and her Master’s
degree in Administration from the University of Arkansas,
Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ellen has currently completed her
twenty-fourth hour in the CASE Program from the College of
Notre Dame, Maryland. Ellen has been in education for twenty-six
years and has been in the Charles County School system since
2000. Most recently she was a Vice Principal at Thomas Stone
High School.
“I look forward to working with the students,
parents, faculty and staff at North Point High School. There
is a lot I must learn including the names and faces of faculty,
staff and students as well as the beautiful and vast building.
One of my main objectives will be to support my students and
teachers and assist them in ways that promote the best in
educational outcomes.”

Kim Barnes
Vice Principal, 9th grade
Kim received her undergraduate
degree from Morgan State University, located in Baltimore,
MD and her Master’s from Trinity University in Washington
D.C. Kim has been in education for eight years and has taught
Reading and English.
“I am looking forward to this new and exciting
adventure to serve as the 9th grade Vice Principal and to
work with the North Point staff and community. It gives me
great pleasure to be a part of something this wonderful. Preparing
students and guiding them in the right direction is absolutely
priceless.”

Ronald Wilson
Vice Principal, Career and Technology
Ron Wilson started at Westlake High School at its inception
in 1992 and served as the first director of instrumental music.
He also taught instrumental music at Middleton, Dr. Brown,
and Barnhart elementary schools. During his fourteen years
at Westlake, Mr. Wilson served as department chair for the
performing arts, administrative assistant for two years, and
vice principal for the three years. This is Mr. Wilson's second
year as an administrator at North Point.
“I look forward to another exciting year
being part of the growth and development of the North Point
community."

A. K. Johnson
Athletic Director
Aly
Khan Johnson has been named Athletic Director for North Point
High School for Science, Technology and Industry. Johnson
has been with the Alexandria (VA) City Public Schools for
33 years, most recently as Athletic Director at T.C. Williams
High School. In his tenure at T.C. Williams, Johnson
taught physical education, was an assistant football coach,
and coached cross-country and track and field, serving as
head coach for many years. He coached the first combined
boys and girls program for cross-country and track and field
in Alexandria, leading to an unprecedented number of district,
regional and state titles.
A member of the VHSL Hall
of Fame, Johnson is known a strong supporter of making academic
success a priority. Johnson is looking forward to the
opportunity to be part of building the climate and culture
of a new school. “I’ve enjoyed my time in
Alexandria, and am excited at the opportunity to be part of
a new team at a new school in Charles County. North
Point will be a place where young people have a chance to
shine both academically and athletically. I am looking
forward to being part of this new venture.”
