WAY TO GO MUSTANGS!

4.      Did your child lose a jacket, hat or scarf?  Perhaps he/she lost a lunch box.  This is your last chance to recover those items.  Our lost/found items will be on display before our PTO Meeting on Tuesday night, May 6th.

5.      J.C. Parks is proud to be a part of the Relay for Life Campaign.  In our efforts to combat cancer, we will have several events take place during the month of May.  This week we begin “Coins for a Cure”.  Teachers and students will donate extra change/coins in containers found in all classrooms (the top three fundraising classrooms will win prizes) and “Stars of Support” (students can purchase a star, which will be displayed in our building, for 50 cents.  These stars are in memory of or in honor of family and friends who have had cancer.  We encourage everyone to support these worthwhile efforts in anyway you can.

6.      We are beaming with pride because we had two winners of the American Legion “Americanism” Contest.  Mustangs Jonathan Wood and Brittany Culbreth are third place winners.  Congratulations!

7.      Parents please remember to bring students who are arriving late to school into the building to sign them in.  Please do not have students enter the building alone.  Students need an adult to sign them in.  We appreciate your cooperation.

8.      On behalf of our PTO and building service workers, we would like to thank all those that came to Family Movie Night.  It was a great success!  We also extend our thanks to those families who stayed and helped us clean up afterwards.

9.    Please be mindful that students should wear shoes to school that will ensure their safety and well being.  Please do not allow your child to come to school wearing beach type shoes (flip flops), sandals without straps on the back or high heels.  Please remember children play on the playground and participate in physical education activities daily.

10. Mark your calendars, fifth grade parents, for June 9th for Fifth Grade Promotion at Lackey
