MATHCOUNTS
The MATHCOUNTS foundation administers a nationwide math enrichment, coaching, and competition program. The mission of MATHCOUNTS is to increase enthusiasm for and enhance achievement in middle school mathematics. The following students participated in MATHCOUNTS this year:

On Saturday, February 2nd the students participated in a tri-county competition sponsored by SMECO. We are very pleased to announce that 7th grader Austin Newhart placed in the top 25 students in the tri-county area. Austin will now compete at the state competition on March 8, 2008 at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Congratulations Austin and we wish you the best of luck at the state competition.
