·       National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is a selective club in which students are chosen on both their academic performance, as well as, their demonstration of the values on which this society is based.  The National Junior Honor Society is built upon the pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Citizenship, and Character.  Society members must display each of these pillars in their daily lives, and be a role model to their peers and members of the community.

This year, The National Junior Honor Society has done volunteer gift-wrapping at Borders Bookstore and also right here at Stoddert for the faculty and staff.  The Society is excited about starting a new fundraising project in which we will raise money to support blood cancer research.  We are also diligently working on organizing a student-teacher basketball game for Stoddert students to attend, and plan on reading to the students at Eva Turner towards the end of the school year. Finally, each member of the National Junior Honor Society will decide upon a service project of his or her own, in which he or she will volunteer time and effort to the community.  Some members plan on volunteering in soup kitchens and at homeless shelters, while others are tutoring students in lower grade levels.
