Book Reports and Projects

Each month the students will have a book report or a project to complete.  All of the book reports will be completed at home unless otherwise stated.  There are two projects that we will complete in which part of the work will take place at school and part of it will need to be completed at home.  Below you will find the schedule and a brief overview of each book report.  The due dates may change depending on unexpected events.  If you have any questions or need materials, please feel free to contact me.  Students will receive the requirements for each project on the day that it is assigned.

September 8th	October 7th	Story Quilt book report.  Students will read a fiction chapter book and complete a book report using the criteria for a story quilt.
November 4th	December 9th	Bag It Book Report. Students will read a fiction chapter book and complete a book report using the criteria for the bag it project. **** This has changed from what was originally scheduled! ******
January 3rd	February 3rd	Students will read a biography and create a Biography Block on a famous African American.
March 24th	April 24th	Students will create a math project based on specific criteria.
mid May	June	Students will be completing an in school state study project.  Students may do research at home.
