Current Unit:

We are currently studying Education in a Democracy.  Our unit focuses on several essays (contemporary and classic) that explore different perspective on the issue.  Students are expected to read each assigned or chosen essay at home and come to class prepared to discuss it.  Our essential questions will be:
1) How has education affected your life?
2) What is an “ideal” student in modern democratic society?

We will have one small project, one quiz and one large writing assignment.
