Third grade is a transition year for your child. There will be numerous changes and responsibilities.

The first major change your child will experience is being responsible for their planner/agenda book. They will have to copy down their homework each morning. There will be at least 3 assignments each night. (check out the homework link for details)

They will also take numerous weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly tests.

Multiplication needs to be mastered. It will be very challenging for those who do not study often and early in the school year.

In Social Studies we will explore the different regions. We will also do a lot of activities with Maps. Learning Cardinal directions is key in 3^rd Grade.

Be patient as your child learns and develops throughout the year. This is a BIG step from the Primary grades and your child will need your guidance and understanding throughout the year.
