The Academy2 gives students an opportunity to develop advanced skills in computer science, networking and various Internet technologies. Students prepare for further study at the college level or for possible entry into the work force.
Academy courses draw from several academic areas. Primarily in the Department of Computer Technology, courses also are drawn from Art, Fine Arts, Business, Mathematics and Technology Education.
Completion Requirements:
There are three course sequences or strands within the Academy. Two strands are complete at Westlake. The third strand is under development and is anticipated for completion soon.
Academy certificate requires at least 5 credits in a strand. A student may complete more than one strand.
