Uniform Policy

Uniforms

All students are required to change from their regular school clothing into appropriate physical education uniforms.  Westlake uniforms may be purchased from the PE staff the first week of school. If purchased individually the shirt is $15.00, the mesh shorts - $20.00. The uniform is available as a package for $30.00. In addition to the base prices, sizes XXL and XXXL have a $2.00 per item charge. There is a limited supply of uniforms; therefore uniforms are sold on a first come basis.  The appropriate uniform consists of the following:  shorts, shirt, white or black socks and tennis shoes. Cash or checks are accepted (make checks payable to “Westlake High School “ with the students name on the memo line). Every student is expected to have their uniform ready to wear by the end of the first week of school.

Warm-up suits or sweatshirts may be allowed outdoors during cold weather over the Westlake P.E. uniform after roll and warm-up activities.   Students must own their own uniform.  However if a student forgets their uniform, a clean uniform will be rented to the student for $1.00 per item.  The rented uniform is to be returned at the end of the period.  Students will be allowed to rent a uniform three times each quarter.  An unreturned uniform will be charged to the student at full retail.

Examples of appropriate and acceptable dress:

          1.       Shirts:  a Westlake PE shirt.  Alternate uniform: a teal, white or orange T-shirt; the only printed matter allowed on the shirt is the student's name and school name.  No pockets or buttons.
