Technology Education

Students enrolled in Technology Education at Westlake High School are challenged to solve a variety of technological problems. Organized into engineering teams and given the opportunity to apply problem solving skills to formulate a solution, students focus on the integration of math, science, and engineering principles. A wide variety of technologies ranging from industrial machines to computer aided design and analysis software enable the students to solve the challenge. Students apply their knowledge and perform tasks representative of technology based careers, including engineers, technicians, and trades.
