Administrative moves announced for next school year

Superintendent of Schools Maria V. Navarro, Ed.D., today announced two Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) administrative moves for the 2026-2027 school year that take effect July 1.

Robert Griffiths, principal at Theodore G. Davis Middle School, will serve as principal at St. Charles High School, effective July 1. Griffiths has been principal at Davis since 2020 and previously served as an assistant principal at Westlake High School for three years before his principal appointment at Davis.

Griffiths also served as an assistant principal at St. Charles, working in the role from 2014 through 2017, and helped open the school. Prior to transitioning into an administrative role, Griffiths taught math at Westlake and Henry E. Lackey high schools.

Tammika Little, principal at St. Charles High School, will serve as principal at Theodore G. Davis Middle School, effective July 1. Little has been principal at St. Charles since 2022 and previously served as an assistant principal at Henry E. Lackey High School, and Benjamin Stoddert and John Hanson middle schools. She was also named the CCPS Assistant Principal of the Year in 2022.

Prior to her transition to an administrative role, Little taught language arts at Mattawoman Middle School, English at North Point High School and was a gifted education resource teacher at General Smallwood Middle School [now Glymont Middle School].

Parents and staff at the impacted schools were notified of the upcoming administrative change.
