CCPS website, communication and technology survey

Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is surveying parents and staff about the school system website, communication platforms, technology use and student technology access at home.

Click here to take the survey (available in English and Spanish).

Survey results will provide CCPS with data to support decisions impacting communication platforms and technology. Deadline to complete the survey is 11:59 p.m., Friday, April 3.

CCPS staff members who are parents of children who attend a CCPS school can take the survey twice as the questions differ depending on the role selected.

For the 2026-2027 school year, CCPS is updating the look and navigation of the school system website, www.ccboe.com, school/center websites and the mobile app. The update also includes a new mass notification tool CCPS will use for email, phone calls and text message notifications, and a two-way parent-to-teacher communication tool.

CCPS also wants to survey parents about student access to technology at home. This information will support a possible virtual education plan and provide CCPS with information on technology use across the school system.

Virtual education is not currently an inclement weather option in CCPS. The Board of Education of Charles County has asked CCPS leadership to explore possible virtual education plans in case it wants to approve a virtual plan for future use during inclement weather following Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) guidelines.
