Nominate – Outstanding Non-certificated staff award

Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is looking for nominees for its annual Outstanding Non-certificated Staff award. The award honors exemplary employees for their commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment for students.

Each year, CCPS selects an overall award recipient for its Outstanding Non-certificated Staff award from nominations across the school system. Building service, food service, instructional support, secretary, maintenance, operations, information technology and central office support staff. Nominations may be submitted by school system employees, students and parents (employees may not nominate themselves).

Criteria for nominees includes at least three completed years of experience as a full-time non-certificated staff member with CCPS and have not been previously selected for the award within the past five years.

Nominated staff must meet the following criteria:

  • Resourceful in seeking and completing job duties.
  • Seeks new knowledge and skills; knows and understands all aspects of the assigned job.
  • Utilizes technology where appropriate.
  • Fosters cooperative relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  • Demonstrates outstanding leadership.

Nomination materials must be submitted electronically. Materials should include a nomination cover including the contact person and committee members, overview of career summary, a description of contributions in each of the nomination criteria areas, and a maximum of 15 current statements of support.

Building service, food service, instructional support, and secretary nominations are to include a minimum of five or a maximum of eight statements of support, which must include one from the school principal/supervisor, and a minimum of four or a maximum of seven from co-workers, students, parents, and/or the community.

Maintenance, operations, information technology and central office support staff (including Annex I and II) nominations are to include a minimum of five or a maximum of eight statements of support, which must include one from a division supervisor, one from the immediate supervisor, and either a minimum of three or a maximum of six from other department supervisors/principals or co-workers/other staff.
