Schools/centers to be closed Friday, Jan. 30

Schools/centers will be closed on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026. Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) cannot safely provide bus transportation tomorrow for all students across Charles County.

  • There will be no CCPS after-school or evening activities on Friday, Jan. 30.  
  • The regional Destination Imagination (DI) tournament scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31, at North Point High School will proceed as scheduled.  
  • High school athletic coaches have been offered the opportunity to host optional practices on Saturday, Jan. 31. Coaches will communicate directly with parents.  

Schools will re-open for students on Monday, Feb. 2, on a two-hour delay. CCPS will reassess on Sunday if needed.
