Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is aware of an incident that occurred at C. Paul Barnhart Elementary School involving two students yesterday. Barnhart administrators shared an update with the school community yesterday including all of the information that can be shared. That update is posted here. 

In any communication, CCPS must comply with state and federal laws regarding the release of any information that would personally identify a student. We are aware of social media posts circulating online about this incident. The incident is an active investigation and the school resource officer (SRO) and police are assisting school administrators with this process.
