Shelley Mackey, APR Shelley Mackey was named director of communications for Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) in 2021. She joined the CCPS communications team in 2007 as a project developer and later transitioned to a communications specialist role in 2010. She oversees all CCPS communications, coordinates media response, and writes and edits marketing materials. She oversees the school system website and television station, and is a member of the CCPS crisis response team. She has a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Science in public relations/management from the University of Maryland. In 2019 she earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), a professional designation that reflects progressive public relations industry practices and high standards. |

Kyle Graves, Video Production Technician Kyle Graves serves as the video production technician for Charles County Public Schools television channel. He shoots, edits, writes and produces material for broadcast on Comcast Cable channel 96. Before coming to CCPS, Kyle spent more than 11 years working in professional television in Maryland and North Carolina. He has covered several major stories including the flooding of Eastern North Carolina in 1999, the death of NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt and the Carolina Panthers road to the Super Bowl in 2004. Kyle grew up in Charles County and holds a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication from Salisbury University. |

Sara K. Taylor, Communications Specialist Sara K. Taylor is a writer, editor and photographer for Charles County Public Schools communications department. She was a reporter for Southern Maryland Newspapers and the Washington Post’s Local Living section before being named Community Editor at the Maryland Independent and later the paper's Managing Editor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Salisbury University. |

Jordan Wilson, Communications Specialist Jordan Wilson serves as the social media manager, content creator and writer for the Charles County Public Schools communication department (2021). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Liberty University and has previously worked with CEOs and future non-profit owners in brand development and social media management. Her goal is to positively impact the community through strategic communication of the school system's overall mission, vision and goals. |

Susan Cox, Web Content Design Specialist Susan Cox serves as the website liaison to all CCPS schools, departments and centers. Susan maintains and provides written and photo content for school and department websites. Prior to employment with CCPS, she was a computer programmer for a defense contractor for the Naval Research Lab at Blossom Point, and for a newspaper distribution website. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Towson University. |

Willieree Murray, Web/Digital Content Specialist Willieree Murray is a Web/Digital Content Specialist for the Charles County Public Schools Department of Communications. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Southeastern University. She served in the U.S. Army as a Morse Code Radio Operator and has worked for federal/state governments and non-profit organizations in the technical arena as a Senior Technical Analyst-IT Helpdesk, Web Analyst-Technical Editor, and Web Analyst Search Engine Optimizer. Her goal is to use her ability to think creatively outside of the box to produce engaging and compelling web content in support of the school system’s digital messaging platform. |

Jennifer Bivens, Switchboard Operator Jennifer Bivens serves as the Switchboard Operator for Charles County Public Schools. Bivens manages hundreds of calls daily that come to the school system's administrative offices. In her role, she communicates directly with parents, students, and staff and assists them in connecting with the appropriate department and/or staff. Prior to joining CCPS, Bivens served as the front desk receptionist at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center for seven years and is an experienced professional in customer service. She holds an Associate Degree from the College of Southern Maryland and is working toward a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. |
