State of the Schools - 2025

Superintendent of Schools Maria V. Navarro, Ed.D., hosted a State of the Schools event for parents, staff and community members on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025.

The event was virtual on Zoom. During the event, Dr. Navarro provided a short presentation on the state of the school system and the Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) strategic plan. The 2025-2029 strategic plan includes four focal areas:

  • Student achievement and ensuring students are college and career ready.
  • Supporting safe and inclusive learning environments.
  • Employee recruitment and retention.
  • Strengthening family and community engagement.
