Early College Program
About the Program
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) and the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) offer an Early College program to rising CCPS juniors and seniors. The tuition-free opportunity allows students to earn college credits while completing their high school diploma, giving them the experience of being a college student at CSM’s La Plata campus.
Students in the Early College program will attend classes Monday through Thursday on the college’s La Plata campus. Early college students are eligible to participate in all home school activities except during CSM classes. They will have access to CSM’s resources and support services, including accommodations for IEP/504 plans. The school system provides students with boxed lunches and transportation from a student’s home high school to the CSM campus and back.
For more information, please visit the Early College Program on the CSM website or email EarlyCollege@csmd.edu.
