Strategic Planning Process - 2025
Superintendent is seeking stakeholder feedback
Superintendent of Schools Maria V. Navarro, Ed.D., is launching work into the next Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) strategic plan. Navarro, who was recently appointed to serve a second term as CCPS Superintendent, is seeking stakeholder feedback for use in developing a strategic plan to guide the school system from Fall 2025 through 2029.
The current CCPS strategic plan highlights three priority areas: student learning and achievement; access and opportunities; and culture and climate. Each priority area has measurements built in to assess how the school system is performing.
A survey is available for stakeholder input and feedback about what should be a focal point and priority in the next CCPS strategic plan. The survey includes response options for a parent, CCPS staff member, student (Grades 4-12) and community member. Survey takers should complete the survey that best describes their role with CCPS.
The Board of Education of Charles County and Superintendent Navarro will use feedback from the surveys to guide elements of a new strategic plan. Parents, staff, students and community members are encouraged to complete the survey. Below is a summary of data and accomplishments from the past three years, and a link to the survey.
Superintendent Navarro is also hosting several in-person, virtual and hybrid events with stakeholders to collect additional feedback. The schedule is posted below.
