Watch the Charles County Board of Education’s meeting that aired live on February 12, 2019. It was job shadow day as students from Arthur Middleton, Mary B. Neal and Indian Head elementary schools got to shadow Board members and the superintendent during their meeting. The meeting featured reports on significant disproportionality in special education, updates on capital improvement projects, a legislative update from the Maryland General Assembly and the proposed 2020 operating budget. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kimberly Hill presented the James E. Richmond Leadership Award to Executive Director of Schools Marvin Jones for his service and support. The Board recognized a number of students for their artistic endeavors as well as other students and staff for their accomplishments from the following schools; Dr. James Craik, J.C. Parks and Malcolm elementary schools, Benjamin Stoddert Middle School and St. Charles High School.
