Drafting and Design Technology
Program Description
In Drafting and Design Technology, students start with the basics of mechanical drawing, then move into orthographic projections, sectional views and pictorial plans for use in many engineering and construction fields. Utilizing modern technology to create the drawings needed. Drafting requires students to have a strong conceptual foundation. Focus is on: equivalency & linearity, modeling, geometric objects & algebraic expressions. Other courses suggested for this major are Architecture & Interior Design, and Physics.
