Project Lead the Way: Pathway to Engineering
Program Description
This program prepares students for further education and careers in engineering and engineering technology. In the final course, students complete an industry-mentored capstone project in Engineering Design and Development. Students who qualify can earn transcripted credit at PLTW-affiliated colleges and universities nationwide, including the University of Maryland- Baltimore County.
What high schools offer the program?
Four-year regionalized program at Henry E. Lackey and Thomas Stone high schools.
- If accepted into the program, students zoned for La Plata, Henry E. Lackey and Maurice J. McDonough will attend Henry E. Lackey High School.
- If accepted into the program, students zoned for North Point, St. Charles, Thomas Stone and Westlake will attend Thomas Stone High School.
When do students apply?
Students apply in 8th grade.
