Program Description

The CyberSecurity program is an adjunct to the IT Networking Cisco Academy which is a nationally recognized program that prepares students for successful careers in information technology fields. It prepares high school students with the professional skills they require to pursue quality academic and professional opportunities. Particular emphasis is given to using decision-making and problem-solving techniques in the application of science, mathematics, communication and social studies concepts to solve networking problems.

CyberSecurity Video

Topics relating to CyberSecurity will be interwoven throughout the course of study. Particular emphasis is placed on ethics, operating systems security, vulnerability assessment, legal issues, the hacker culture, intellectual property laws, encryption/decryption algorithms and technologies, protection of critical infrastructure and disaster recovery.
