How Do I Find Out My Student's Bus Information?

What If My Address is Not Found in the School Locator?

If the School Locator cannot find your address, please contact us.

New streets and neighborhood developments are added to the School Locator map manually once they are turned over from the developer to the county. To confirm your student’s school eligibility, visit Transportation Help Tickets and complete a Community Concern form.

What If My Student Does Not Have an Assigned Bus Stop in the School Locator?

We are Moving – How Do We Secure Transportation at Our New Address?

The first step is to update your student’s school with your new address. The school will then update your address in the Synergy Student Database. The Synergy Database connects with the Transportation Database/School Locator every night and updates any records that have changed.

To make sure that there is a stop assigned to your new address, check the School Locator.

If a stop is assigned to that address and is currently on a bus route, your student will be added to the bus roster automatically. If there is not a stop assigned to your new address, or that stop is not currently on a bus route, complete a Bus Stop Concern form in Help Tickets.

A Transportation supervisor will contact you within 5 business days to establish bus service for your student.

How Do I Update My Student's Pick Up and/or Drop Off Address?

Transportation is able to modify either the AM pick up address, PM drop off address, or both to align with your before/aftercare needs that follow a Monday-Friday schedule. Be advised, Transportation cannot modify bus rider records for short-term requests. It is important to make sure your student’s address information is updated so that Transportation and school administration are aware of your student’s location at all times in case of an emergency. Please allow at least 5 business days for changes to be made to your student’s record.

To submit student address changes, complete a Bus Change Request form through the Help Tickets.

** If a stop does not exist at your requested daycare address you must first complete a Bus Stop Concern form to establish a stop at this new location. In the section that states “Please explain your concern or issue,” explain that you require the new stop for before/aftercare. Once the new stop is established, you can submit a Bus Change Request for your student at that new location. **

What is the Bus Stop/School Walking Zone and How is It Established?

Elementary & Middle school students can be asked to walk up to 1 mile to their bus stop/school.

High school students can be asked to walk up to 1 ½ miles to their bus stop/school.

Distances in all disputed cases shall be measured from the end of the student’s lane to the nearest driveway or walking entrance of the school by the most direct traveled route. This traveled route may include roads, walkways, hiker-biker pathways, or road shoulders. Exceptions may be made for students with temporary or permanent disabilities who are, as a result of their disability, unable to walk to the prescribed distance.

Why are Two High Schools Listed When I Search My Address in the School Locator?

If students live within the North Point High School zone, the locator will display North Point High as the only eligible high school and display a zoning map that shows just the North Point zone. If an address is anywhere in the county outside of the North Point zone, it will display two high schools: one that is the zoned school and North Point based on acceptance in a CTE program. When clicked, the North Point High School CTE eligibility map for those students will show the entire county except for the actual NPHS zone.
