Stethem Center Transportation

CCPS Buses

Robert D. Stethem Educational Center houses a wide variety of educational programs, some of which are eligible for transportation.

Career and Technology Education (CTE): All students attending CTE programs ride their regular buses to and from their zoned high school and then board shuttle buses that transport them between their zoned high school and Stethem. High school juniors and seniors attend CTE programs on a partial day schedule, with shuttles running morning, midday, and afternoon. Juniors spend the morning at Stethem and the afternoon at their zoned high school (arriving at Stethem on the morning shuttle, departing on the midday shuttle). Seniors spend the morning at their zoned high school and the afternoon at Stethem (arriving at Stethem on the midday shuttle, departing on the afternoon shuttle).

High School Opt-In: Students opting to attend Stethem instead of their zoned high school ride their regular buses to and from their zoned high school and then board shuttle buses that transport them between their zoned high school and Stethem. This program operates on a full day schedule with students arriving on the morning shuttles and departing on the afternoon shuttles.

High School Placement Program: Students placed at Stethem instead of their zoned high school ride their regular buses to and from their zoned high school and then board shuttle buses that transport them between their zoned high school and Stethem. This program operates on a full day schedule with students arriving on the morning shuttles and departing on the afternoon shuttles.

Middle School Placement Program: Students placed at Stethem instead of their zoned middle school must ride the high school bus servicing their address since no shuttles run between Stethem and middle schools. Once they arrive at the high school they board shuttle buses that transport them between the high school and Stethem. This program operates on a full day schedule with students arriving on the morning shuttles and departing on the afternoon shuttles.

Virtual Academy: Students in grades 10-12 attending the Virtual Academy are eligible for transportation if their chosen attendance hours align with the full day schedule.  Students selecting this option would ride their regular bus to and from their zoned high school and utilize the morning and afternoon shuttles to Stethem.

Stethem Programs that are Not Eligible for Transportation: Evening School and Summer School.
