2020 SUMMER PD for Teachers, IAs, and Support Staff  (June 22 - August 23)

10 and 11 month staff were paid for days at the end of June 2020 that they did not work after schools closed early.  Staff worked these hours by  completing summer PD.  A total of 20 hours was needed.  2 hours of that can be subtracted toward completing the fall Safe Schools training. That leaves 18 hours of PD.

Each content area created their own set of PD and listed some Required topics by content or grade level. Teachers were also required to take 3 hours of TEAMS training.Other positions did not require TEAMS training but it was open to anyone interested.  Any hours remaining after completing those required topics was open for Choice. Teachers could choose from any open topics that were of interest.  Many topics were recorded training. Staff reported the recordings that they watched on the correct reflection form that was linked on the same page with the links to the recordings.  Recordings for Support & Wellness Webinars were submitted on that particular reflection form for example. That reflection form was then downloaded into transcripts to report that specific topic.  CPD credit courses taken during the summer timeframe did count. 1 CPD credit is 15 hours of PD. College courses and master's programs did not count toward CCPS Summer PD.

2020 Summer PD Opportunities

Check your transcript in ERO at http://registration.ccboe.com. You need to show 18 hours of summer PD in ERO.  The Safe Schools training is in its own portal and will not show in the ERO transcript.

  • 2 hours toward Safe Schools fall training
  • __ any required hours for your position
  • __ your choice of topics
