Summer Enrichment Camps

Summer Enrichment Camps are for Charles County Public School enrolled students and residents of Charles County in grades kindergarten through eight, according to the student's 2020 - 2021 school year grade level.

BasketballSkillDrillCamps are offered in the AM (8:00 to 11:00) and PM (12:00 to 3:00).  Students staying for AM and PM camp sessions can be enrolled in the Lunch Activity Time session (11:00 AM to 12:00 PM) for $10/wk.  The Lunch Activity Time Session includes free lunch and supervision between camps.

Cost per camp session is $90.00 per week and some camps require an extra $10 fee to cover the cost of materials. Financial assistance is available for children who attend Charles County Public schools who qualify. Space is limited for each camp.  Camps that have low enrollment may be canceled with a full refund or the child may be scheduled into another camp. The camp schedule is subject to change. Please check this webpage for updates.  Cancellations are subject to a $5 processing charge.

Camps for students entering grades 6, 7 or 8 in the 2020-21 school year.
 


 
Camp is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM.  
Bus transportation is provided
for the week of camp from the Gwynn Center, 5998 Radio Station Rd., La Plata, MD.  The bus leaves the Gwynn Center at 8:15 AM and returns at 3:45 PM. Parents may transport their child directly to and from the Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Center each day (please notify camp counselor).

Roll up your sleeves and expect to get messy as we explore the “grosser” side of nature. Ever wonder what marsh mud smells and feels like? Or, what’s inside an owl pellet? We’ll answer these questions and more. Activities: creating non-newtonian fluid, making edible scat, investigating what is inside a worm and a whole lot more!

Lackey Summer Youth Camp

at Henry E. Lackey High School
for children entering the 2nd grade in 2020-21 school year - 13-year-olds.

*Camp information will be updated as soon as it is available. Please check back for updates.

The Summer Youth Camp for boys and girls provides supervised activities in the following areas: soccer, touch football, basketball, floor hockey, swimming, kickball, arts and crafts, whiffle ball and other games.

June TBD  - July TBD   Monday - Friday
  (Camp closed on July 4). No partial week registration permitted.
