For the month of October, Charles County Public Schools is offering parents the opportunity to request virtual tutoring in English/Language Arts and mathematics for their child based on diagnostic assessment data or current performance in a class or course subject. These services are being offered to students not yet performing at appropriate grade or course levels, as well as to students whose ability to perform in honors or AP courses, has been negatively affected due to the COVID-19 closure.

Tutoring requests for elementary students should be made by contacting the child’s school.

Tutoring services for middle and high school students are to be requested by completing the following survey. Each request allows the student to receive one hour sessions in either English Language Arts (ELA) or math. No more than two sessions per week per subject. Tutoring for middle and high school students will be provided between individually or in a small group setting between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. A specific day and time will need to be worked out directly with the assigned tutor. Each student must have a device and internet access in order to access this opportunity. Regular appointment(s) will be set up between the parent and the assigned tutor.

Please note that tutoring requests will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis and there is no guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled.
