School administrators, teachers and counselors can now submit student nominations for the Carson Scholars Fund. The Carson Scholars Fund each year recognizes students for academic achievement, humanitarian qualities and community service. Each selected recipient receives a $1,000 college scholarship. Recipients are eligible for an annual renewal as long as they maintain high academic standards and a commitment to their communities.
The nomination deadline is Dec. 14. Schools who have not nominated a student for the scholarship program in the past must request an application form from the program. Following the nomination process, application materials are due by Jan. 9 and all teacher recommendations must be received by Jan. 11. Principals who submit student nominations will then receive a verification link to review application materials.
Carson Scholars will be announced in March 2019. Students who are eligible for a scholarship renewal must also submit an updated application, which also needs principal verification, by the Jan. 9 deadline. In early November, Carson Scholars will email current honorees a scholar recognition application for submission and principal verification.
Schools that are interested in submitting students for the program should email firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure that their contact information on file is correct. Visit https://carsonscholars.org/scholarships/important-dates-and-deadlines/ for more details.
