North Point High Schools’ graduation ceremony time on Tuesday, June 3, has been pushed back to start at 7 p.m. This is a one-hour time change to the 6 p.m. start time that has been previously advertised. After school system officials consulted with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, it was determined an earlier start time would cause a disruption to the safe dismissal of William A. Diggs Elementary and Theodore G. Davis Middle schools.
On Tuesday, June 3 the parking lots at North Point and the school’s convocation center will open at 5 p.m. Graduating seniors are expected to arrive at North Point by no later than 5:15 p.m. North Point High School will be closed to all students on June 3 in order for ceremony arrangements to be finalized.
Parents were notified of the time change by school officials today. The Charles County Public Schools 2013-14 Parent Handbook/Calendar was updated on the school system website at http://www.ccboe.com/aboutus/calendar/ParentHandbookCalendar1314.pdf to reflect the change.
