Students prepare for annual It’s Academic event, will air live on CCPS website


The annual Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) It’s Academic tournament will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 at North Point High School in Waldorf. Teams from the seven Charles County Public high schools will compete in rounds and answer questions in a quiz-style format. Topics range from history, literature, science, math and mythology to sports, general information and current events.

The tournament will air live on ccboe.com, starting at 6 p.m. Viewers can also access the live feed on the CCPS YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oru94fxl_xE.

The first-place team from Wednesday’s event will compete against Bethesda-Chevy Chase and Centreville high schools in a match set to air April 7 on NBC4. The second-place team earns a spot to compete in fall 2019.
