Students must be picked up at the end of each camp session.
There is NO child care available between AM & PM camp sessions.

Visitors to the Lunch on Us program, Summer School, Summer Boost and vaccination clinics held at schools must check in via the visitor management system — ScholarChip — set up at each school. To check in, visitors must scan their driver’s license, and remain in designated areas as determined by the school.

Dance Your Heart Out: Summer Spirit Edition
Get ready to dance your heart out!
This camp is all about moving each day for the pure joy and freedom of your summer spirit.
Each day, your student will participate in a structured and soul-smiling movement warm-up, then flow into writing/drawing in their Summer Spirit Journal.
After which, campers will practice group movement and share their dancing creativity through guided exercises.

This camp is designed to get you up and moving while learning different dance styles, techniques, and choreography from a semi-pro dancer!
This camp will incorporate dance technique, hip-hop, and street jazz.

Reader's Theater with Paper Mache Masks
Actors and Artists WANTED! Students will work to prepare and perform a play from a famous children's book.
During the preparation, students will make paper-mache masks to be used as part of their performance.
The session will also include improvisational strategies and spatial awareness while performing.
The Craft Factory
Do you love crafting and creating art?
This unique and engaging camp combines creative art projects with team-building games.
Each day we will focus on a theme and students will get to bring home their artwork.
Daily Themes: Monday-Strengths & Potential; Tuesday- Making Good Choices; Wednesday- Managing Conflict;

Are you ready for some fantastical fun? Then this camp full of fun, fantasy, and fiction is for you!
Campers will learn all about Greek gods, goddesses, monsters, and myths while reading excerpts of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.

If BTS or Black Pink are staples in your playlist, then welcome to Camp Korea!
Korea is more than just Kpop and Kdramas. Camp Korea will allow you to develop a deeper appreciation for Korean culture, language, and customs.
By the end of this camp, students will be able to read and write Hangul, introduce themselves, write simple sentences and explain key concepts in Korean culture.
Fascinating Fiction: Creative Writing Workshop
Do you like to write fictional stories? Fascinating Fiction Camp will teach students how to author engaging fictional stories.
Campers will learn the parts of a story, narration techniques and respond to various writing prompts.
Writer’s block? Your student will learn techniques to overcome mental blocks.
Students will share their drafts and will work together to polish their final stories.
Girls STEM Camp
Girls STEM Camp offers girls the opportunity to explore the wonders of science in an engaging, friendly, and exciting atmosphere.

This boot camp will review the concepts crucial for success in AP Chemistry.
Emphasis will be placed on dimensional analysis, mole conversions, chemical reactions, bonding, and other topics.
Sessions will consist of a mixture of hands-on activities and practice problems on paper.
Students will also receive help with their AP Chemistry summer homework assignments (if their school has assigned one for this class).

The Lackey Summer Youth Camp provides supervised activities in the following areas: soccer, touch football, basketball, floor hockey, swimming, kickball, Wiffle ball and other games. CCPS employees receive a 50% discount on the cost of the camp.

The Summer Youth Camp is for children entering 2nd grade (Fall 2023) - 13-year-olds.
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) will continue to implement its visitor check-in procedures throughout the summer. Visitors to the Lunch on Us program, Summer School, Summer Boost and vaccination clinics held at schools must check in via the visitor management system — ScholarChip — set up at each school. To check in, visitors must scan their driver’s license, and remain in designated areas as determined by the school.

Come learn all about the amazing world of fish and get “hooked” on fun! Activities include fishing, shore seining, fish games, crafts and more!

Art is Everywhere! (One-day camp)
Nature is awesome... simply take a moment to look around. Some of the best art ideas are inspired by nature. Come join us for our art inspired day camp. Activities will include outside and inside projects such as, a nature hike, painting with natural objects, snake behavior observation, making beach art, paper bead snakes, and more!
Students will need to be dropped off and picked up at Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center by the prescribed times. Students should bring a lunch and beverage and bring a pair of shoes to wear in the water. Be sure to dress for the weather and possibly messy activities. Yuckology! (five-day camp)
Roll up your sleeves and expect to get messy as we explore the "yucky" side of nature. Ever wonder what marsh mud smells and feels like? Or, what's inside and owl pellet? We'll answer these questions and more. Activities include: creating non-Newtonian fluid, making replica scat, investigating the world of worms and much more!
Bus transportation will be provided from the Gwynn Center, 5998 Radio Station Rd., La Plata, MD. If your student is riding the bus, departure is at 8:15 AM and pick up is at 3:45. Students should bring a lunch and beverage each day and dress for outdoor activities. More information will be sent out via email prior to camp.
