Director of Lifelong Learning Center

Mr. Meiser was appointed Director of the Lifelong Learning Center in 2018.  Prior to serving as Director, Mr. Meiser was the principal at Westlake High School for two years and principal at Thomas Stone High School for four years. Under Mr. Meiser’s leadership, Thomas Stone was named a School of Character by the Character Education Partnerships and the Maryland Center for Character Education.

Meiser began his career in education in 1993 as a social studies teacher at Westlake High School. He then transferred to La Plata High School, where he taught social studies and served as a test administrator. Meiser also served as a regional administrator for the Summer Reading and Math Academies. In 2004, Meiser was assigned as a vice principal at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School and moved to a vice principal position at Stone in 2007.

Meiser has a bachelor’s degree in comprehensive social studies secondary education from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in school administration and supervision from Bowie State University.
