TC Martin 5th graders brave the cold weather to enjoy an extended field trip to Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Education Center.
TC Martin students & staff are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the community for our sweet Skyla! Thank you so much for all of the positive thoughts & prayers.
Congratulations to our own Mrs. Capuano who was selected by school administrators and staff as a nominee for the 2019 Washington Post Teacher of the Year and Charles County Teacher of the Year award programs!

Announcements

January 30, 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Late this afternoon, we began to experience problems with our well pump. Using the water reserve from the holding tank and lines, we were able to make it through to the end of the day with a minimal water supply and bottled water.

The school system’s supporting services staff is working to secure a pump. If the well pump arrives, a contractor will work through the night to install it. If the contractor is able to complete the job tonight, school will open at the regular time tomorrow. Well repairs will continue tomorrow if needed.

If staff is unable to secure a pump in time to install it tonight, we may have to close T.C. Martin Elementary School tomorrow. We most likely will not know if the installation is complete until around 5 a.m.

The decision to open or close T.C. Martin tomorrow will be made by 5 a.m. At that time, the school system will post the information on ccboe.com, send an email to all parents through School Messenger and place a message on the 24-hour information line, 301-934-7410 or 301-932-6656. No announcement will be made if school is opening on time.

We are hopeful that all repairs will be complete by tomorrow. We will update you when we have more information.

Sincerely,

Robert Opiekun

Principal
