The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Center for Immunization has released vaccination requirements for the 2020-21 school year. All Charles County Public Schools students are required to have certain vaccinations prior to attending school. The following vaccinations are required.
3's program & Pre-K (36-59 months old):
- 4 DTap/DTP/DT
- 3 Polio
- 1 Hib after 12 months of age
- 1 MMR on or after first birthday
- 1 Varicella on or after first birthday
- 3 Hepatitis B
- 1 Prevnar (PCV)

Some Pre-K (60-71 months old)
- 4 DTaP/DTP/DT vaccinations
- 3 Polio vaccinations
- 2 MMR vaccine– after the first birthday
- 1 Varicella vaccine– after the first birthday
- 3 Hepatitis B vaccinations

Kindergarten (5 - 7 years old)
- 4 DTap/DTP/DT (3 - if started as of age 7)
- 3 Polio
- 1 Hib after 12 months of age
- 2 MMR on or after first birthday
- 2 Varicella on or after first birthday
- 3 Hep B

Grade 1 - 2
- 4 DTaP/DTP/DT vaccinations
- 3 Polio vaccinations
- 1 Hib vaccine – at least one dose after 12 months of age
- 2 MMR vaccine– after the first birthday
- 2 Varicella vaccine– after the first birthday
- 3 Hepatitis B vaccinations

Grade 3 - 7
- 3 DTaP/DTP/DT vaccinations
- 3 Polio vaccinations
- 1 Hib vaccine – at least one dose after 12 months of age
- 2 MMR vaccine– after the first birthday
- 2 Varicella vaccine– after the first birthday
- 3 Hepatitis B vaccinations

Grade 8 - 12 :
- 3 - DTap/DTP/DT (3 - if started as of age 7)
- 3 - Polio
- 1 Hib vaccine – at least one dose after 12 months of age
- 2 - MMR on or after first birthday
- 1 - Varicella on or after first birthday (if older than 13 when given first does student willl need a second dose one month later)
- 3 - Hep
- 1 - Tdap
- 1 - Meningococcal (MCV4)
