Become a CTE Community Partner

The Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) Career and Technical Education (CTE) department is looking to partner with local organizations, businesses and industry leaders to provide career driven and work-based learning opportunities to CCPS students by becoming a community partner.

Community partners play a vital role in shaping students’ futures by providing real-world experiences through apprenticeships, internships and career day participation. These opportunities allow students to apply classroom knowledge in meaningful ways while building essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, teamwork and professionalism.

Work-based learning gives students the chance to discover what they enjoy, develop critical workplace skills and gain confidence in real-world environments. Partners also help cultivate a skilled, prepared workforce that aligns with local industry needs.

CCPS is actively seeking partners who can do the following.

  • Host student interns for hands-on learning experiences.

  • Support or establish apprenticeship opportunities aligned to career pathways.

  • Participate as career day exhibitors and sharing career insights with students.

  • Provide job shadowing or mentorship opportunities.

These partnerships not only benefit students but strengthen the local economy by connecting education with workforce needs and fostering long-term talent development.

To become a community partner with the CCPS CTE department, fill out the community partner form on the school system website at https://bit.ly/4lEa0gV.
