Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is partnering with the Tri-County Council for Southern Maryland to host Building Tomorrow’s Workforce Today: A Business Breakfast on Apprenticeships and Internships. The session will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Jan. 23, at Southern MD JobSource offices in Waldorf.
Business owners and representatives can learn how to partner with Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs to grow their workforce. In turn, high school upperclassmen can earn real-world experience in a field they are interested in pursuing following graduation.
CCPS staff can assist local businesses in hiring students interested in work-based learning experiences through apprentices, internships, employment, job shadow opportunities and workplace tours.
The session is limited to the first 30 registrants. To register, visit https://forms.office.com/r/XLBnKZgEGP. For more information about the CTE program in CCPS, email Sandy Rooney, CTE content specialist with CCPS, at srooney@ccboe.com or visit www.ccboe.com/CTE.
