Congressman Steny Hoyer will host the 41st annual U.S. Military Academies Forum and ROTC Showcase from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 29.
Held at St. Charles High School, the forum is open to students in Grades 8 through 11 and their parents. The event is an opportunity for students and parents to learn more about U.S. military service academies such as the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Representatives of the military academies will be available to answer questions and provide more information. All the academies — except for the Coast Guard academy — require a nomination from an authorized nominating source.
Each year, Hoyer nominates students in his district to military academies. To RSVP to the event, click here. St. Charles High School is at 5305 Piney Church Road in Waldorf.
